We had just arrived home from our quick little jaunt to Geneva, IL just outside of Chicago. I had gone up to my office and was getting ready for my online Moodle class and I heard what sounded like thunder moving up. Strange… sun is out. The wind started picking up and before I knew it… this was what I saw outside my window. I saw a young boy riding up the middle of the street in this no visibility situation with the wind giving him quite a boost from behind. He was darn lucky no cars were coming from the other direction because they would have never seen him coming around the corner in those conditions. In 10 minutes, this was gone. I still hear the thunder and their are clouds overhead, but no wind. Was it a squall?
squall
–noun
1. a sudden, violent gust of wind, often accompanied by rain, snow, or sleet.
2. a sudden disturbance or commotion.
–verb (used without object)
3. to blow as a squall.
I think so. I will blog about my trip a little later after I finish my Moodle class.

just an update ~ in that 10 -12 minutes of storm we had over 1.5 inches of rain. My poor flowers are still drooping from the weight of all the water.

We have had several of those in the past few days..high winds, rain blowing sideways, even hail and all over in a few minutes! Strange weather this summer so far!

Could have been a new breed of summer shower? Wow, I bet that was a little spooky for a bit there. Glad the young man didn’t meet with an accident!

You had me with the pumpkins. I love the look of those things. Reminds me of all that wonderful, cool fall weather that I’m not having yet. lol
The constuction signs – Ugh! We saw enough of those on our recent vacation. Every single state we entered seemed to have at least 3 million miles of constructoin going on (so I exaggerate – so what?). As for the fabrics….OH. HOW. PRETTY! I love fabrics. I love going into quilting stores and just seeing all the fabrics and all the groupings. It just makes me feel good to see it. ‘Course, I don’t sew and I certainly don’t quilt. But I feel like one day maybe I could when I see fabrics all piled together like that. lol (Yes, therapy would probably be good for me)
I don’t even want to talk about the pill bottles. Or the anti-aging cosmetics. Unless talking about them will make the stuff work better – then give me a call, let’s not waste time typing about it. lol
Great photos. This has been a lot of fun to do and even more fun to see what everyone else has done.

Cindra, wonderful photos and descriptions! I would never have noticed the prescription bottles and I have them! LOL
I could have taken many construction photos here too…ugh! I enjoyed this and had fun!
