I decided I needed to create a page just for my photos, links and extras. Please feel free to comment any help you can give me.
Thanks.

My youngest son just inherited my Nikon D50 and, in an effort to help him with his photography passion at as little cost as possible, I went in search of free online editors. I came up with a few:
FotoFlexer ~ This one has quite a few capabilities. (autofix, red eye, crop, resize, rotate, flip, contrast, More and different effects than I have in my Adobe Photoshop Elements) For kids there are all kinds of decorating tools including confetti text and insert a face (haven’t used that yet. For web use you can add animated add ons. For those of us vain enough to appreciate, it has all kinds of tools to help fix those things we don’t like to see in the mirror. You know what I am talking about. Finish it off with distortion tools, layers and Geek tools. Whew! Looks like a whole lot of program for free. (The above photo was created using the bronze effect. When saving
to my computer I had to add the .jpg to the end or I couldn’t find it later when I was looking for it.)- Phixr~ This program doesn’t seem to be as comprehensive. It does have rotate, scale, shrink, crop, switch to black/white or sepia, equalize, brightness, saturation, hue, contrast, speech bubble, text, noise reduction, sharpen, quite a few effects with a small preview window, mixing photo with others and framing. There are a few more tools, but I like the layout and design of Fotoflexer better. ( Effect here is funnel.)
- LunaPic~
Picnik~ This is a pretty easy program to use. I’ve used it with my students in computer class and they could find their way around easily with little instruction, but then kids are fearless. This too has rotate, auto fix, crop, resize, exposure, colors, red-eye and sharpen. It also has wonderful features that are only available to premium users, in other words, you pay. In all honesty, it is a great program and can be used by young and old alike with great success. It has many effects that are fun to use and you can add to them with stickers and text and lots of fun things that could help with summertime fun. (The effect is vignette where you can choose the color - yellow - and how wide and strong it is. I then framed it with a museum frame style. Great fun and good results.)- Mehdi plugins for Adobe Photoshop -
- Free Photoshop - all sorts of different downloadable files for free!

I have Paint Shop Pro 9 that I use a lot but a simpler and more user friendly one that I use to make graphics and occasionally for photo editing (plus it’s FREE) is Paint.net.
